Tim Evans is an award-winning investigative reporter at The Indianapolis Star, where he has reported extensive of children’s issues since 2000. For the past two years, much of his work has focused on the sexual abuse of girls and young women in gymnastics. He is a member of The Star’s investigative team that exposed former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar’s long reign of sexually abusing gymnasts. Evans has been honored for his work covering children’s issues by the American Society of Newspaper Editors, Investigative Reporters and Editors, Society of Professional Journalists, Annie E. Casey Foundation, Prevent Child Abuse Indiana, and Lutheran Child & Family Services of Indiana/Kentucky. Evans and his wife, Jennifer, a Methodist pastor, have one son, Morgan, who is a student at the University of Indianapolis.
